Pump foiling offers an unpowered way to glide above the water. A compact board connects to a submerged hydrofoil, and controlled body movement keeps the system traveling once lift is established.
What is a pump foil?
A pump foil setup consists of a board, front wing, mast, fuselage, rear stabilizer and mounting components. The front wing generates lift as the system moves through the water. The rider maintains momentum using repeated movement, without requiring an electric drive, handheld wing or paddle.
The board
The DI LARA MOVE platform begins with an 83 cm carbon-composite pump board, a compact deck with EVA traction and a US-track foil interface. Its purpose is a responsive riding platform. Unlike a stand-up paddleboard, it is not intended primarily to float a stationary rider.
The foil system
The GY F11 setup combines a 2,100 cm² carbon front wing with an aluminum mast, fuselage and rear stabilizer. Compatible assembly matters: matching connection interfaces and fasteners are essential. Front-wing area should be considered alongside other design variables rather than used as the only sizing criterion.
Complete set or modular?
Choose the complete F11 set for a matched board-and-foil setup, or explore Build Your Foil to configure components individually. Future extras must be selected for their stated compatibility.
Prepare for a session
Use an appropriate helmet and flotation protection, inspect all connections, choose sufficiently deep and clear water, and leave space around swimmers and obstacles. Seek suitable instruction for dock starts. Avoid riding in shallow or crowded areas.
