Hydrofoil Parts & Compatibility | DI LARA MOVE

A modular hydrofoil is assembled from a board, mast, fuselage, front wing, rear stabilizer and matching fastening components. Each part has a distinct job. Compatibility matters more than simply matching a manufacturer name.

Choose the board

Compact pump boards are designed for dock starts and rhythmic pumping rather than standing buoyancy. The existing DI LARA 83 cm carbon board is a compact pump board, not an interchangeable substitute for a buoyant wing-foil or SUP board.

Choose the front wing

Compare area, span, aspect ratio and intended modality. The catalog includes individual front wings such as GY 1401 V1 (1,611 cm²), GY 1500 V2 (1,510 cm²), GY 1700 V2 (1,997 cm²), GY 1060 (1,726 cm²) and GY 930 (1,179 cm²).

Choose the mast length

The Guanyong catalog illustrates GY aluminum mast lengths of 750, 800, 850 and 900 mm, and carbon mast lengths of 640, 750, 820 and 900 mm. Taller masts provide more vertical clearance in choppy water, while shorter masts can feel more direct and help limit depth requirements. Depth, bottom obstacles and local conditions always matter.

Choose the fuselage and stabilizer

The fuselage connects the front and rear wings to the mast assembly. Greater length often increases pitch stability at the expense of a quicker response. The stabilizer balances the front wing, affecting pitch feel, glide and turning. Smaller-area rear wings are not automatically compatible or more efficient for every configuration.

Check six connection points

  1. Board track or plate standard and bolt spacing.
  2. Mast to board plate or base.
  3. Mast to fuselage adapter and section dimensions.
  4. Front-wing connection and compatible fasteners.
  5. Rear stabilizer attachment and mounting angle.
  6. Hardware length, grade, torque and manufacturer-approved assembly.

Build only verified combinations

The catalog names various GY and AXIS-style families, but does not publish a complete cross-compatibility matrix for all pieces. Components from different families should not be presumed interchangeable. See our selection guide and Build Your Foil studio to explore available options.
