Hydrofoil Safety & Setup | DI LARA MOVE

Hydrofoil systems combine a board with submerged wings and a mast. A responsible setup begins with the right equipment, safe assembly, suitable conditions and enough space to ride.

Inspect the equipment

Before every session, check the mast-to-board mount, fuselage connections, front wing, rear stabilizer and fasteners. Look for loosening, damage and signs of impact. Follow manufacturer instructions and do not mix unverified components.

Choose your environment

Confirm adequate water depth along your entire route. Avoid rocks, shallow areas, docks and other fixed obstructions, swimmers, vessels and floating debris. Plan your exit before entering the water.

Protect yourself

Wear appropriate helmet and flotation or impact protection for the conditions and activity. Consider the water temperature and obtain experienced guidance for dock starts and the pumping technique. Hydrofoil wing edges can be sharp; handle the assembly with care.

After use

Inspect the equipment again, rinse and store components according to manufacturer guidance, and protect all carbon and metal parts during transport.
